A: We are more than happy to help you with whatever issue you are having, and we do encourage you to seek out help with your issue, if one does arise but, there are no refunds once a ticket is purchased (for any reason). We work with our customers to give the most pleasant (but of course intensely scary) experience possible. In the unlikely event of a personal issue, we will certainly help work that out for you in the most convenient way possible. However, a refund is not going to be one of the solutions.

  • CAN I GET OUT IF I AM TOO SCARED?

A: Yes. There are emergency exits around most corners. Simply follow the emergency exit signs out of the haunt (without refund). We have staff in these areas to assist you. However, If you use these emergency exits, you will not be allowed back into the haunt. These emergency exits are for emergency only, not to play around in.

  • HOW LONG DOES THE FRIGHTFUL EXPERIENCE LAST?

A: This is a question we honestly do not like to answer and for good reasons. Everyone moves at a different pace. We have 1 walk-through attraction, a show, and 1 scare zone experience. Our attraction is PACKED around every corner with scares and startles. Most haunts in the United States average only 10 minutes. Deadwater State Penitentiary's haunted attraction takes approx 15-20 minutes to complete, and that does not include the queue line entertainment.

A: Deadwater State Penitentiary has (1) attraction, a scare zone, and a nightly show for your entertainment.

Please leave your lighters, metal items, backpacks, etc in your car, as these items can damage key props inside the haunt. Keys and cell phones should be in your hand as you approach the door for easy passage. Then they should be put away, or you will lose them in the haunt! We will not stop the show to find these items!
